And the St Anne Necklace winner is...

I would like to thank everyone who has joined with me in the last nine weeks, preparing for the feast day of St Anne that we celebrated last Monday (26th of July). I particularly thank everyone for their prayers for my sister Carmen throughout the nine weeks and also for my little 2 year old daughter who had suffered burns 2 weeks ago, she is making a remarkable recovery, I don't believe she will scar, there is only the faintest pink marks now!

For anyone who missed the reading of the article on St Anne that came from the newspaper publication, Catholic ~ The Voice of Catholic Orthodoxy, the article itself is is an exerpt from a book by Rev Fr Myles V Ronan CC, MRIA 1927.

If anyone has missed any of the different week's exerpts, here they are again listed below:

Week 1
Week 2
Week 3
Week 4
Week 5
Week 6

Week 7
Week 8
Week 9

PAINTING "The Virgin and Child with Saint Anne" ARTIST Girolamo dai Libri

I started my Tuesdays with St Anne series in early March 2008, over two years ago. If you look in the 'labels' area of my righthand sidebar, you will see 96 postings under the label of 'Tuesdays with St Anne'.

My dearest wish now is to properly sort through these postings and share the ones of special significance and information. Properly labeling and highlighting them in one of the sidebars, so that people can come and visit and read with ease the information I have shared about St Anne in the past two years.

I hope to start this work in late August and I will make a 'Tuesdays with St Anne' posting to notify when this has all been completed.

There may be something I hope to share with others in the future here at Starry Mantle, that will help children develop a devotion to St Anne, but I need to make further inquiries as to whether this can happen or not, please keep this intention in your prayers.

And so, the winner of the St Anne necklace is:

Lucy Pinnington! Lucy, if you could email me with your address, I'll post this out to you, very soon.

Thank you to all the ladies who participated in the weekly draws, it has been a pleasure communicating with you all via email and I have been touched by the constant offering of prayers for the intentions I had listed (my sister and daughter).

I remembered all your intentions in my St Anne novena and I pray now that this wonderful patroness, St Anne the mother to Our Lady, grandmother to Our Lord, this 'fruitful vine' and 'grandmother from the house of mercy' will continue to bless you all.

Anne - I am overcome to have won such a truly beautiful necklace. St Anne must have been feeling especially grandmotherly towards me as it is just a marvellous boost at a tricky time. I am so excited. Thank you very very much!
